Graduation Day is one of the biggest events in the life of a young person. Another thing to keep in mind is the relationship you share with the student. It's also important to remember that the graduation card is meant basically for the young person and not for the adults. These days, graduation need not be just from college or high-school. If you know the family and the child really well, then you can take the liberty of sending a funky or humorous card which says things like “Your parents must be relieved” or “Happy job-hunting” etc which convey your feelings in a light-hearted manner. However, make sure it's not insulting, ambiguous or offensive, since a sense of humor is a very personal thing and can be misconstrued.
